Tentative Itinerary

Saturday, June 28
  • Flight to Perú
  • Reception in the airport and transport to the hotel

Sunday, June 29
  • Breakfast (included in the cost of the tour)
  • Visit the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
  • Tour Lima

Monday, June 30
  • Breakfast (included in the cost of the tour)
  • Fly to Arequipa
  • Tour Arequipa and the Santa Catalina Convent

Tuesday, July 1
  • Breakfast (included in the cost of the tour)
  • Fly to Juliaca
  • Visit Sillustani and continue on to Puno

Wednesday, July 2
  • Breakfast (included in the cost of the tour)
  • Full-day tour of the Uros and Taquile Islands
  • Lunch (included)

Thursday, July 3
  • Breakfast and Lunch included
  • Travel to Cuzco by bus, visiting the ruins of Raqchi, Piquillacta, and the village of Andauaylillas in route.

Friday, July 4
  • Free morning, Breakfast included
  • Tour of Cusco (Including the Koricancha—Temple of the Sun as well as significant colonial sites)
  • Dinner show at the Tunupa Restaurant (included)
Saturday, July 5
  • Breakfast and lunch included
  • Begin our visit to the Sacred Valley
  • Pisac market
  • Visit Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas
  • Visit the production site of "Seminario" Pottery
Sunday, July 6
  • Breakfast and Lunch included
  • Take the train to Machu Picchu, the "Lost City" of the Incas
  • Visit Machu Picchu (Day one of a two-day visit)
Monday, July 7
  • Breakfast included
  • Free day (to explore Machu Picchu or simply enjoy the local culture)
  • Return to Cuzco
Tuesday, July 8
  • Free morning to explore Cuzco
  • Return flight to Lima
Wednesday, July 9
  • Optional morning activities include the Gold Museum or a visit to the Alegria y Caridad orphanage
  • Afternoon visit to the Craft Market in Miraflores
  • Evening flight back to the U.S.
